Reciprocal Admissions: The Wonderful Landis Membership Benefit that You May Not Know About

By Wilma Jozwiak

It’s true — being a member of Landis Arboretum at any level can mean free or reduced admission to one of over 345 amazing gardens and arboreta in North America! And in many cases, also free parking and a discount in their gift shop.

Because Landis is an organizational member of the American Horticultural Society, you as a Landis member have access to AHS’s Reciprocal Admissions Program. You can, for instance, enter the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens or visit the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens for free, instead of paying $15.00 for adult admission. There are many more, including some exotic locations Amy Howansky visited a few years ago; you can read about her visits here. Click here to read about all the gardens that are part of the AHS RAP program.

All this makes a Landis membership a great holiday gift for any fan of public gardens and arboreta, regardless of where they live!
