The New Year is here, and with it comes a tradition of making resolutions.
If you’ve been at Landis this year, you’ve noticed the outcomes of some of the Arboretum’s resolutions for 2015: driveways and parking lots have been improved, new gates have been installed, and ponds have been dredged to remove invasive plants.
We have resolutions for 2016 too: staining the barn and new shed built in collaboration with Boy Scout Troop 501, finally (fingers crossed!) getting the bathrooms installed in the Meeting House, and making important repairs to the Farm House.
We’d like to invite you to make some Landis-specific resolutions for 2016 as well.
Perhaps you’ll make a resolution to visit once a month, or to make this the year you finally attend a Public Star Party, go snowshoeing at a Second Sunday Snowshoe event, or enjoy a concert in our Full Moon music series. Maybe you’ll resolve to volunteer at the Arboretum, or if you already volunteer, to try something new, like helping with propagation in our greenhouse. Perhaps you’ll increase your membership level, moving from Basic Individual to Family, or from Family to Enhanced. Or perhaps you’ll make a targeted donation to help with one of Landis’ resolutions, or an unrestricted donation just to help ensure Landis remains an important resource for the community.
Whatever you resolve, we hope to see you at Landis during 2016!
